A traffic stop late Thursday night in Hickory ended with the arrest of a Graves County fugitive and another on drug charges.
The Graves County Sheriff's Office said a deputy stopped a vehicle owned by 40-year-old Jeffrey King of Boaz, who had an active arrest warrant out of Graves County.
While searching the vehicle the deputy allegedly found a quantity of suspected methamphetamine and marijuana. Deputies then conducted standardized field sobriety testing on the driver, 34--year-old Connie Guess of Salem, who was then arrested for driving under the influence and possession of a controlled substance.
King was arrested for his outstanding warrant as well as possession of a controlled substance.
King and Guess were transported to the Graves County restricted custody center where they were transferred to jail staff.
