Marquette Transportation announces $5.9 million expansion of Paducah facilities

During Gov. Beshear's Team Kentucky briefing, it was announced that Marquette Transportation Company plans to expand its Paducah facility with an investment of $5.9 million.

The barge towing company will double the square footage of its current operations in McCracken County with a new training center, warehouse and additional office space. 

The project is expected to add 55 new shoreside and vessel jobs, bringing the company's total Kentucky employment to more than 340. 

Marquette Transportation Co. was founded in 1978 and is headquartered in Paducah.
