A shift in the traffic pattern will affect traffic along I-24 in Marshall County at the Tennessee River bridge.

The contractor working on the rehab of the Luther Draffen Tennessee River bridge at the Marshall/Livingston County line is moving traffic from the right to the left lane for the next step in the project. All traffic will be shifted into the left lane near the 29-mile marker.

The work zone has a history of causing delays since the project began.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet suggests taking US 62 eastbound from I-24 exit 27. One option, then, is to take KY 453 north to rejoin the interstate at exit 31. The other is to continue east on US 62 to Kuttawa and rejoin at exit 40.

KYTC said that this is the second of several traffic configurations that will used during the nearly year-long bridge rehab project which will feature joint replacement, painting of the bridge's arch, and other maintenance.
