Thursday night traffic stop lands Illinois man in jail

A Thursday night traffic stop in McCracken County landed an Illinois man behind bars.

McCracken County Sheriff's deputies stopped a vehicle along US 60 near Metropolis Lake Road at about 11:30 p.m. The driver, 39-year-old Ricky Taylor of Carterville, Illinois, was reportedly found with methamphetamine and marijuana in the vehicle. Taylor was arrested and taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail.

Taylor is charged with meth and marijuana possession, along with traffic violations including one headlight and no registration.
