A traffic stop followed by a multi-agency investigation resulted with the seizure of over $250,000 worth of drugs on Thursday.
The McCracken County Sheriff's Office, along with Paducah Police, the Marshall County Sheriff's Office and the Drug Enforcement Administration said they seized over five pounds of crystal methamphetamine and fentanyl pills.
The seizure stemmed from a traffic stop, where a McCracken County deputy allegedly found half of a fentanyl pill.
Deputies arrested 32-year-old Fabian Thomas and 21-year-old McKayla Emery, both of Mayfield, at a gas station in Reidland. The pair were reportedly found with over 155 grams of meth, marijuana, synthetic marijuana, suspected fentanyl pills, and cash believed to be proceeds of illegal drug sales.
The couple was staying in a hotel in Marshall County where authorities allegedly uncovered an additional two pounds of crystal methamphetamine and other drugs.
Thomas was charged with trafficking in marijuana, methamphetamine, synthetic drugs, fentanyl, and traffic violations. Emery was charged with trafficking in marijuana, methamphetamine, synthetic drugs and fentanyl.
Thomas was on parole for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He also has a history of convictions for drug trafficking. Emery was on probation for receiving stolen property-a handgun.
Then, a tip on Thursday night led to arrest of 35-year-old Ronald McClure of Paducah.
McClure was picked up outside a home on South 9th Street. Authorities allegedly found over 2.6 pounds of crystal methamphetamine and cash while searching his apartment and car.
McClure was charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and parole violation.
McClure was out on bond for a meth trafficking charge from 2021. he also has several trafficking convictions.
