Three arrested in Graves drug bust

Three people were arrested Tuesday on numerous drug related and other charges in Mayfield.

Detectives from Calloway and Graves County Sheriff's Office said 24 year old Dylan T. Wiggins of Graves County was given money to buy crystal methamphetamine.  

He purchased approximately an ounce from two Murray residents, 25 year old Jacob B. Gaither and 24 year old Kelli R. Buchanon, then delievered the meth to a car wash near Walmart in Mayfield.

Gaither and Buchanon were immediately arrested on Paris Road and found to be in possession of cocaine, other items and over $3,000 cash.

Wiggins was seen throwing a 9 mm semi automatic hand gun into the Walmart parking lot and as he was given commands by deputies, he bagan dropping baggies of meth from his pockets, ignoring commands and running to his vehicle in an attempted getaway before being tazed.

A search of another vehicle belonging to Gaither which was found parked near the Mayfield Middle School, turned up additional amounts of crystal methamphetamine, and fentanyl. 

A search later in the evening was conducted in Calloway County by detectives from both sheriff's offices, at a residence belonging to Gaither and Buchanon where additional illegal items were located. 

All three suspects were taken to an out of county detention center.
