Three Princeton men have been charged after a three-month long investigation concerning checks stolen from an elderly woman.

Princeton detectives began investigating in October when an 86-year old reported that 14 checks were forged on her account totaling $4,550.

On December 9, detectives said 54-year old Dwayne Hale was served with an arrest warrant after investigation revealed he had cashed nine of the checks at a Princeton grocery store. He was charged with nine counts of possession of a forged instrument.

WPKY reported that last Wednesday, detectives arrested 49-year old Robby S. Robinson on a Caldwell County arrest warrant charging him with a single count of possession of a forged instrument after he reportedly cashed one of the checks.

Later that day, 31-year old Eric B. Allen was arrested after detectives said they discovered he had originally stolen the 14 checks from the victim and had forged them. He was charged with 14 counts of second-degree forgery.
