A Texas man was sentenced to life without parole Thursday by McCracken County Circuit Judge Tim Kaltenbach for his part in a 2020 double murder in Lone Oak.

Mykweze Cox of Houston pleaded guilty Wednesday to the double murders of 23-year-old Justice Hicks and 31-year-old Victor Moore. Cox shot Hicks and Moore at an apartment on College Avenue in Lone Oak over an alleged drug debt in 2020.

He also pleaded guilty to robbery, burglary, tampering with physical evidence and being a felon in possession of a handgun.

In April, Alexis Graham was convicted of two counts of complicity in murder, burglary and robbery in connection to the deadly shooting. She is scheduled to be sentenced on June 8.
