A Tennessee man is in critical condition after a three-vehicle accident that shut down Interstate 24 in McCracken County on Wednesday. 

The McCracken County Sheriff’s Office said 20-year-old William Davis of Belvidere, TN was driving a van westbound at the 2-mile marker when he came up on slowed traffic and collided with the rear of a vehicle driven by 33-year-old Jeffrey Jackson of Hoover, AL.

Davis then struck the rear of a tractor trailer driven by 46-year-old by Dymtro Dutchak of Wheeling, IL.

Davis was flown to an out of state hospital for treatment.
