Authorities are searching for suspects after multiple reports of thefts from vehicles in McCracken County.
The sheriff's office said the thefts seem to be focused on dense residential neighborhoods in the Lone Oak area.
Footage from multiple security cameras appears to show four or five younger men walking the neighborhoods late at night or int he early morning hours checking for unlocked vehicles.
The suspects are reported to be wearing dark colored hooded sweatshirts and surgical masks.
Authorities ask the public to help deter the criminals be removing valuables from vehicles and locking your car doors, close your garage door, close and lock all doors to your home, and turn on any exterior lights.
