The four suspects involved in an early Thursday morning police pursuit from the Marion, IL area into Paducah have been identified.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Department said the suspects are Dylan Russell of Marion, the operator of the vehicle; Anthony Thompson of Marion; Alicia Scott of Pittsburg, IL; and Charles Parrish of Wyoming.

At approximately 3:30 a.m., the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office was notified by the Williamson County Sheriff that the pursuit in southern Illinois would soon be entering Kentucky.

Deputies responded to the I-24 bridge and were notified that the stolen pickup driven by Russell was traveling the wrong way in the westbound lanes. A McCracken County deputy stopped westbound traffic on the Kentucky side of the bridge in an effort to avoid a collision with the fleeing vehicle.

Once in Kentucky, the pickup exited the interstate and Russell drove through several residential yards and fences. Attempts to stop the vehicle with spike strips were unsuccessful.

Russell eventually drove into a field off of US 60 and hit an embankment in a creek bed. Three of the four occupants fled on foot. Parrish was still in the vehicle when he was detained.

Thompson entered an abandoned house on Harris Road. He was located inside lying on the floor of a bathroom. Scott was located outside the same Harris Road residence.

A few minutes later, the Sheriff’s Office was alerted to Russell’s location by an employee at Menard’s.

Police said all the individuals from the vehicle appeared to be under the influence of drugs. They were lodged in the McCracken County Jail.

The driver, Russell, was charged with wanton endangerment, fleeing or evading police, and receiving stolen property.

The three passengers received charges including fleeing or evading, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of contraband.

Illinois authorities will continue their investigation and file separate criminal charges in their jurisdiction.

Deputies have also been attempting to contact property owners where damage was caused as Russell was fleeing from law enforcement. If you are a property owner and have not been contacted by law enforcement, please call the sheriff's office.
