A small earthquake shook a portion of southeast Missouri early Saturday morning.
The quake registered a magnitude of 2.5 just after 2 a.m. According to the U.S. Geological Survey at the University of Memphis, it was centered about 3 miles northeast of Steele, Missouri, or about 22 miles northwest of Dyersburg, Tennessee.
The U.S.G.S. had at least seven people say that they felt the tremor. No damage has been reported.
