Caldwell County crash turns into drug arrest for a Cadiz woman

A single-vehicle crash in Caldwell County on Tuesday afternoon turned into a drug arrest for a Cadiz woman.

Deputies with the Caldwell County Sheriff's Office were called to Eddy Creek Church Road for what turned out to be a non-injury crash involving the vehicle of 57-year-old Almelia Prince of Cadiz. Deputies charged Prince with driving under the influence of alcohol. The investigation also reportedly uncovered a pair of unspecified controlled substances and possession of a legend drug.

Prince was charged with DUI and drug possession and taken to the Caldwell County Jail.
