Road work on Old Mayfield Road in Paducah next week

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says a contractor plans daytime closure of Old Mayfield Road next week.

Work will begin on Wednesday to diamond grind the new concrete roadway between Division Street and Irvin Cobb Drive. 

The project is expected to take several days. Local access will be maintained for businesses and residents. 

This is a continuation of concrete work from July 2023 when a new curb and gutter and new concrete pavement was installed.

Diamond grinding on Hinkleville Road between Hancock’s of Paducah and Atomic City, will be delayed until after the work on Old Mayfield Road is complete.
