Semi fire closes both directions of I-24 in Marshall County

A blockage closed both directions of I-24 tonight in Marshall County after a semi caught fire, according to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.

KYTC reported that the fire occurred east of Calvert City around mile marker 29.

The eastbound lanes have since been reopened, but westbound I-24 is still being diverted.

while cleanup efforts are underway, traffic is being diverted between I-24 Exits 31 and 27.
