More details and a new arrest has emerged in the search for 48-year-old Gregory Marshall.
The Graves County Sheriff's Office announced Tuesday they arrested 40-year-old Kayla A. Lyell on a wanton endangerment charge in connection with their manhunt Marshall. Lyell allegedly failed to report the physical and sexual abuse of a child and left the child with Marsahll who has been accused of sexually abusing and strangling the minor.
Deputies said they went to a home on KY 339 east of Sedialia on Monday afternoon to arrest Marshall. After a brief standoff with deputies, Marshall jumped through a bathroom window into a soybean field.
Police searched the area by foot, ATV’s, and the use of a drone. Those attempts were unsuccessful and authorities believe Marshall is no longer in the Sedalia area. They also believe Marshall is receiving help form others to avoid arrest.
Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Marshall are asked to contact law enforcement or call 911.
