Section of Calvert Drive in Reidland blocked most of the day

A section of Calvert Drive in Reidland was blocked for most of the day after a crash and then a gas leak.

The crash occurred around 6 a.m. Sunday on Calvert Drive near the Merrydale intersection. The injury crash involved a single pickup truck and a utility pole. The pole was significantly damaged and the wires were brought down. 

After determining that the pole would have to be replaced, a crew came to set the new one. According to sources, during that process, a gas line was hit further delaying the reopening of the road. 

Calvert Drive was blocked between Reidland Road and US 62.
