Saturday crash injured a Kuttawa man and sent him to the hospital

A crash on Saturday in Lyon County injured a Kuttawa man, landed him in the hospital, and now he'll face charges. 

The crash happened at around 7 p.m. on Saturday along Poplar Creek Road. Lyon County Sheriff's deputies said that a vehicle driven by 60-year-old John D. Seay of Kuttawa ran off the road and hit a tree. Seay was injured in the crash and taken to Mercy Health Lourdes Hospital in Paducah for treatment.

Seay was ultimately charged with driving under the influence, not wearing a seatbelt, and not having insurance.
