A report of a home invasion near Mayfield on Friday night resulted in the arrests of four people, including the resident.

Kentucky State Police got the call just before 6:30 p.m. Friday from a man who said his home was being broken into by masked men with guns.

Graves County Sheriff's deputies and Kentucky State Police troopers rushed to the home off KY 58 about two miles east of Mayfield. Upon arrival, they reportedly found three men with masks and weapons in the kitchen. Officers ordered the men to drop their weapons and they complied.

The three men, 21-year-old Montez Elmore of Lexington, 24-year-old Jonte Hensley of Paducah, and 22-year-old Dezmend Cobb of Danville, were arrested. They were allegedly in possession of four handguns.

Further investigation determined the home invasion was not random, and that the suspects allegedly sought some sort of retaliation against a resident. What the suspects did not know was that there were fifteen people, most under 18 years old, in the home at the time. The suspects reportedly forced all those in the home to the living room and took their cell phones before searching the house.

Elmore was charged with six counts of complicity to commit robbery and 15 counts of complicity to commit kidnapping, while Hensley and Cobb were both charged with six counts of robbery and 15 counts of kidnapping. More charges are pending.

Deputies and troopers recovered the cell phones.

The continued investigation led to getting a search warrant for the rest of the home. During the search, deputies allegedly found methamphetamine and a loaded shotgun. That prompted the arrest of 37-year-old Eric Vancura of Mayfield.

Vancura was charged with firearm-enhanced possession of a controlled substance.
