A repeat offender is facing a multitude of new charges following a pursuit in McCracken County on Monday.
Deputies said they attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a truck driving recklessly in the Farley area. They said the vehicle immediately fled and continued to travel recklessly both on the roadway and through yards.
The vehicle lost multiple items from the bed of the truck onto the roadway.
A deputy conducted a Precision Immobilization Technique (P.I.T.) on the vehicle while traveling on Blandville Road, stopping the vehicle.
The driver, 40-year-old Ronald Hoyle, attempted to flee on foot and was taken into custody after a brief struggle.
Deputies said Hoyle, who currently has multiple cases pending already this calendar year, has an extensive history with prior convictions for multiple counts of bail jumping, DUI, fleeing, and other charges.
Hoyle has also previously been extradited multiple times to other states for outstanding criminal charges, and currently has outstanding warrants in other states for which they will not extradite from our jurisdiction at this time.
Hoyle's latest charges include reckless driving, fleeing or evading police, motor vehicle wanton endangerment, wanton endangerment, criminal mischief, and resisting arrest.
