Public encouraged to gather along funeral route for Sgt. Hudson Saturday

The Paducah Police Department says the public is respectfully invited to gather along the funeral procession route of Sergeant Ryan Hudson on Saturday.

After the 11 a.m. service at Heartland Worship Center, the procession will depart to Maplelawn Park Cemetery. Along the way, it will pass by Sgt. Hudson's memorial at the police department.

The procession route will include parts of Alben Barkley Drive, Lone Oak Road, Broadway and North 13th Street.

Flags, signs of support and quiet tribute are welcomed as the procession passes.

The procession is expected to start between noon and 12:30 p.m.

There will be temporary traffic delays and road closures along the procession route.
