A  Princeton man was arrested on multiple charges including assault and fleeing from police.

Princeton Police said they tried to stop a car driven by 30-year-old Seth Williams early Sunday in connection to a domestic violence complaint in the county. Officers found the vehicle at Courthouse Square, but Williams fled and abandoned the vehicle at the Princeton Post Office. Police said they found illegal items in the vehicle.

The domestic violence victim reported that Williams was at her house. Officers stated that Williams tried to hide and resisted arrest while being taken into custody. They said that Williams is also accused of committing a separate act of domestic violence while in the city.

Williams was charged with fleeing and evading police, resisting arrest, assault, and drug violations. He was lodged in the Caldwell County Jail.
