During its meeting earlier this week, the Princeton City Council voted to help fund mobile radios for the city and county's first responders.

WPKY reported recently Caldwell Fiscal Court had passed a similiar measure after county officials learned they have received a $191,500 state Homeland Security Grant for the purchase of 45 mobile radios.  The grant will cover part of the cost of funding the purchase, with the remaining $118,000 split between the county and the city.

The city will receive 25 of the 45 radios to be placed in city vehicles.
