A man was tased by police and arrested Sunday in Metropolis after he had been jumping in and out of traffic.

Police said 40-year-old Latroy L. McIntosh was allegedly jumping in front of cars and disrupting traffic while "waving his arms and yelling." An officer spotted McIntosh walking down the middle of 5th Street and turned on his emergency lights to try to stop him. The officer parked his truck in the man's way. When the officer tried to grab McIntosh to stop him, he fled on foot toward the Spence Apartments. The officer then arrested McIntosh after using his Taser. Reportedly, McIntosh continued to fight with the officer and resist.

McIntosh was finally arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. He was taken to the Massac County Detention Center.
