Deputies went door-to-door on Sunday night in McCracken County to urge some Farley residents to evacuate their homes because of rising flood waters.
High water caused failure of a cross drain close to an earthen levee on Oaks Road near Baggett Lane in McCracken County.
They warned that residents between Baggett Lane and Lydon Road should evacuate immediately, or they could become cut off by rising waters. Officials advised residents in about 50 homes to evacuate.
The McCracken County Sheriff's Department sai they, along with McCracken County Emergency Management and Kentucky State Police, were going door to door in the area asking those affected to leave now.
They went on to say that, although this is a voluntary evacuation notice, homes with house numbers 2730-1260, and all living on Baggett Lane should evacuate.
