Amanda Perry has been named school psychologist for Ballard County Schools.
Perry, a 2004 graduate of Ballard Memorial High School, will assume the role on July 1.
She is currently employed at Hickman County Schools, where she serves as a guidance counselor and school psychologist.
Perry has a bachelor's degree in education with an emphasis in learning behavior disorders from the University of Kentucky and a master's degree in education with an emphasis in interdisciplinary early childhood education from Murray State University.
Her 2019 standard certificate of school psychology is also from Murray State University.
Terri Gentry, Ballard's director of special education, said Perry comes to the school with a wealth of knowledge in counseling, evaluating student needs, and assessment.
