A Paducah woman was arrested on Friday for trafficking in methamphetamine.

Detectives with the McCracken County Sheriff's Department said they located a vehicle driven by 44-year-old Heidi Wilson of Paducah, who they believed to be involved in illegal drug activity at a gas station on 8th Street and Park Avenue.

They said a Sheriff's Office K-9 allegedly alerted to the odor of illegal drugs coming from the vehicle. A search revealed a glass pipe and a baggy with suspected drug residue.

Detectives said Wilson was already on felony probation for drug offenses. Sheriff's detectives and officers with the Kentucky Department of Probation and Parole searched her residence, where they allegedly seized 21 grams of crystal methamphetamine.

Wilson was charged with trafficking in methamphetamine.
