Paducah police searching for suspect in connection with weekend shooting

Paducah police are searching for a man in connection with a weekend shooting.

Investigators responded to a report of a shooting late Saturday night at the intersection of North 11th and Ellis Streets where an unidentified male victim had been shot in the abdomen.

He was treated at Baptist Health Paducah.

It was determined two shots were fired and the shooter was identified as 28-year-old James M. Fields of Hampton Street.

Fields is charged in a warrant with second degree assault and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
