A Paducah man was arrested Wednesday in connection with an incident where shots were fired at a passing car.

Officers were called Tuesday night to the intersection of Hampton and North !2th, where witnesses said two young black males dressed in black walked to the corner of Hampton and North 12th waiting for a car to drive by.

When it did. they fired several shots at the car and fled to a red car on Hampton Street, then left the scene.

Officers found numerous 9mm bullet casings in the middle of Hampton Street.

The victims, ages 17 and 18, called police when they got home. One of the teenagers said he was driving around the block to drop a friend off to meet a girl when they were shot at by two people dressed in black.

Officers said there were two ricochet marks on the roof of the victims' car, a shattered driver side window and a bullet hole in the roof.

One of the victims provided the name of 19-year-old Jamarion Foster as a possible suspect and said he sometimes drives a red or maroon car with a “fin” or spoiler on the back.

Detectives served a search warrant at Foster’s home and found a 9mm handgun, along with a rifle, ammunition and various firearm accessories.

Foster was lodged in the McCracken County Regional Jail on two counts of first degree wanton endangerment and criminal mischief.
