A Paducah man was arrested with drugs after falling off his bike Monday night.

McCracken County Sheriff's deputies were called to Bleich and Old Mayfield Roads on Monday at about 10:30 p.m. after a passerby spotted a person and a bicycle in a ditch. They were concerned that the person had been hit by a passing vehicle. Deputies, though, were able to determine that 49-year-old Anthony Kladis of Paducah had not been hit, but rather was possibly under the influence of drugs.

Deputies said that Kladis was lying in the grass and was "erratic" in his behavior. A records check found that Kladis was wanted on a pair of active warrants for failure to appear. A search also reportedly found methamphetamine.

Kladis was arrested on the warrants and was additionally charged with possession of methamphetamine and public intoxication. He was taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail.
