A Paducah man has been arrested after authorities said he sold drugs to an undercover detective.
Paducah police said they learned 24-year-old Shykeem B. Merriel was trafficking illegal drugs.
Undercover detectives made contact with him, and Merriel reportedly agreed to sell them a quarter-ounce of meth and ecstasy pills.
Authorities said Merriel met with them, then admitting he had meth in his possession after officers identified themselves.
While being processed at the jail, a body scan was performed which allegedly uncovered a large amount of ecstasy pills.
In total, he was charged with trafficking in methamphetamine and promoting contraband.
