Paducah man charged with trafficking in Lyon County

A Paducah man was charged with trafficking in methamphetamine after a traffic stop in Lyon County.

The stop happened along KY 810 near Chestnut Oak Road when Sheriff Brent White spotted 47-year-old Michael Reed in a vehicle. Reed was reportedly out on bond from another felony drug case and ordered not to be in Lyon County.

During the stop, Reed was allegedly found with around eight grams of methamphetamine, plus marijuana, digital scales, and baggies. He was arrested and charged with trafficking in meth, possession of marijuana, and contempt of court.

Reed was booked into the Crittenden County Detention Center.

According to records, Reed was out on bond from a meth possession case pending in Lyon Circuit Court. He is also on parole following a 20-year conviction on felony trafficking in meth and marijuana.
