A Paducah man is jailed on charges involving a shooting early Sunday morning in the 700 block of South 22nd Street in Paducah.

Paducah police said the shooting victim told police he was riding in a vehicle when he was struck by a bullet in the leg and taken to an area hospital for treatment.

Detectives identified 37 year old Jeremy K Kinney as the suspect. He was spotted in the 200 block of Ashbrook Avenue early Tuesday morning entering a vehicle.

Kinney tried to flee on foot but was apprehended.  Officers searched the Ashbrook Avenue residence and marijuana was found.

Kinney was lodged in the McCracken County Jail.
