Paducah attorney Denton to be honored next month

Paducah attorney W. David Denton will be honored by the Kentucky Bar Foundation next month.

Denton will be presented with the 8th Annual Judge Edward H. Johnstone Award. 

The recipient of the Johnstone Award is chosen from members of the 1st Supreme Court District and recognizes distinguished attorneys for their commitment to public service, their work to build the public's trust in the justice system, and their efforts to improve access to justice for all people, regardless of income level or background. 

Mr. Denton was selected for the award because of his embodiment of the mission of the Bar Foundation with his spirit of service to the community and dedication to the legal profession for over 50 years.

The event will take place on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at Walker Hall, 229 Madison Street, Paducah, Ky.  Cocktails begin at 5:00 p.m. followed by dinner at 6:00 p.m.  

The evening will highlight Mr. Denton’s distinguished career along with the Bar Foundation’s impact on law-related nonprofits across the state.
