Over $8,000 raised for local nonprofits on Kentucky Gives Day

A combined $8,000 was raised for several western Kentucky nonprofits during Kentucky Gives Day on Tuesday.

Kentuckians donated $725,649 to 223 nonprofit organizations participating in the tenth annual Kentucky Gives Day campaign.

Locally, $7,145 was raised for the Market House Theatre, US Vet Connect was able to secure $1,100, $161.00 was raised for the Community Foundation of West Kentucky, and $15 was donated to CASA by the Lakes.

Over its nine-year history, the event has raised $4.2 million for participating nonprofits. This year, 3,133 donors made 3,754 gifts, all through the kygives website. 

Last year, Kentuckians raised $721,385 for 219 nonprofits.
