Orr named chief of Murray State University police

Murray State University introduced its new chief of police on Thursday.

Ryan Orr was named the university's police chief after serving in an interim role since February.

Orr has been an officer at the university since 2006 after he began his career as a deputy with the Crittenden County Sheriff's office. 

He's a Murray State graduate of criminal justice and was a member of Racer Patrol at the university police department while he was a student.
