According to KYTN, Carr said upon learning of issues after a local audit, he immediately contacted the Tennessee Comptroller's Office.
He expressed his appreciation to all who took part in the investigation and said the county will not tolerate such crimes. Carr went on to explain that those found guilty will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
The comptroller reports found three former employees received over $561,000 in unauthorized compensation from the nursing home facility.
