A Murray man entered a not guilty plea this week to rape and custodial interference charges.

The Murray Ledger and Times reported 39-year-old Dustin Owen of Murray waived his formal arraignment Monday in Calloway Circuit Court.

Jones is accused of rape and custodial interference.

During a preliminary hearing last month, Murray Police indicated they had been contacted October 1st about a 16-year-old runaway female juvenile at Owen's home.  She was located there and Owen cooperated with the investigation.

The investigator also stated Owen admitted to sexual contact and police told Owen she was a minor,  Owen was instructed if the juvenile showed up at his home again to contact law enforcement.

Murray Police was contacted again October 19th concerning the same juvenile and Kentucky State Police responded to a Farmington residence where the juvenile was located.

Investigators were told Owen had dropped her off there and he was brought in for questioning.

Bond in this case was also reduced from $10,000 to $5,000.
