Murray man charged with assault, criminal abuse

A Murray man was arrested and charged with criminal abuse and assault after a domestic violence investigation.

On Friday, 30-year-old Cory Newsome was arrested on a Calloway County warrant stemming from an investigation that took place on Megan Drive.

The victim told police that they were assaulted over a two-day period and received minor injuries. 

Newsome was charged with assault and criminal abuse. He was lodged at the Calloway County Detention Center.
