More unsettled weather today; cooler temps for the weekend

Another wave of scattered but sometimes strong thunderstorms will impact our region today, mainly between 10 AM and 6 PM. 

Most of western Kentucky and the Missouri Bootheel looks to have a marginal (level 1 out of 5) risk of severe weather today. An area of slight risk (2 out of 5) includes .Murray, Hopkinsville and Clarksville, and metro Nashville is in an enhanced (3 out of 5) risk level. 

Damaging winds up to 60 miles per hour, large hail up to an inch, and a brief tornado will be the main risks.

Cooler temperatures in the 60s arrive for this weekend, with temperatures moderating back into the 70s next week.
