Minnesota fugitive arrested in Paducah

A man with a felony warrant out of Minnesota was arrested in Paducah on Friday.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy made a traffic stop on Alben Barkley Drive and Kennedy Road.

The driver was identified as 34-year-old Matthew Shockency. Shockency was found to have a full extraditable felony warrant out of Minnesota for several offenses, including fleeing from law enforcement and possession of a controlled substance.

Shockency was also charged with a Parole violation and is on the active sexual offender registry.

Shockency was arrested and was charged with being a fugitive from another state.
