A McCracken County man has been arrested for the second time in 2026 on sex crime-related charges.
On Monday, McCracken County Sheriff’s deputies arrested 18-year-old Landon J. Player for a second time. Player was charged with 39 counts of possession of matter portraying a minor in a sexual performance in addition to violating conditions of his release. He had been released on bond from his February arrest on May 14th.
Player was charged the first time back in February when he was a student at McCracken County High School. Following an investigation by School Resource Officers, McCracken detectives arrested and charged him with rape, sodomy, unlawful transaction with a minor, sexual abuse, and two counts of distributing obscene material.
Detectives said that in June, they discovered that Player was exhibiting similar behavior. An investigation into the new information prompted the second arrest and the additional charges.
Player was booked into the McCracken County Regional Jail.
