A wanted Benton man is facing trafficking charges after a stop Tuesday afternoon.

Detectives with the McCracken County Sheriff's Office spotted 35-year-old Chad Taylor driving near Park Road. Taylor was known to have an outstanding felony warrant for probation violation, and he also did not have a driver's license.

The detectives stopped and arrested Taylor. They searched his vehicle, as well, and reportedly found 15 grams of crystal methamphetamine along with smoking pipes, a scale, and $2,075 in cash believed to be from drug sales.

The Marshall County Sheriff's Office assisted in the further investigation by getting a search warrant for Taylor's home on US 68 in Marshall County. That search allegedly uncovered more drugs and paraphernalia.

Taylor was charged with trafficking in methamphetamine and the probation violation, as well as traffic offenses.

The investigation is still ongoing.
