Dee Dee Whittaker has been named the new president of the Rotary Club of Paducah.

Whittaker is a former banking professional, and currently works as an Advertising Account Executive for WPSD Local 6 television in Paducah.  She previously served on the club’s board of directors, and was the club’s Antique Quilt Show Committee Chair for 2017.

Whittaker is also a member of the St. Nicholas Clinic board of directors, and, the St. Mary Schools’ Education Committee.

In a press release, Whittaker said she is excited about this year’s Rotary theme ‘Be the Inspiration’, and she looks forward to leading Paducah Rotarians to continue to see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change.

Whittaker is the sixth woman to serve as club president in its 103-year history. Her term began in July.

Her goals for the year include continued growth in the areas of the club’s membership, donations to the Rotary Foundation, and the club’s public image. 

The Rotary Club of Paducah is Kentucky’s second largest, and second oldest, Rotary chapter.  Founded in 1915, the club current has approximately 200 members.
