McCracken County school bus caught in floodwaters

A McCracken County school bus got caught in floodwaters, sending some students to the hospital for treatment, on Tuesday.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Office was called to the intersection of Hovenkamp Road and Bluebird just before 6pm to assist the bus and its passengers.

The driver had already gotten some of the students off the bus, which was leaning to one side, when deputies arrived. The deputies helped get the rest of the students off the bus, safely, although three juveniles were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

The students that were not injured were taken to another location by McCracken County Schools. 

The incident is under investigation by the McCracken County Sheriff's Office and the McCracken County Attorney's Office.
