McCracken County man arrested following traffic accident

A McCracken County man was arrested following a traffic accident on Friday night.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Office said 39-year-old Justin Owens attempted to pass a vehicle but failed to yield to oncoming traffic.  Owens' vehicle left the roadway, struck a mailbox and a utility pole and turned over on Harrs Road.

Owens was taken to an area hospital for treatment, then arrested on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol.
