Ice from freezing rain weighing down tree limbs has been a culprit as western Kentucky has been experiencing some power outages, and McCracken County has been hit the hardest.
As of 9:30 am, there were 1892 customers out of power in the county. Paducah Power had 1709 out in three different neighborhoods. Jackson Purchase Energy also showed 183 customers out.
Trigg County showed 405 customers out of power, and Caldwell County had 73. Livingston County had 64 customers without power.
All other western Kentucky counties had anywhere from zero to 11 customers out in their respective counties.
Paducah Power restored electricity to all but about 115 customers by 11 a.m.
