Two people went to the hospital following an accident at Old US-45 and KY-999 on Wednesday.
The McCracken County Sheriff's Office said 49-year-old Paul Jenkins of Prince Frederick, Maryland, being unfamiliar with the area, was driving east bound on KY-999 and failed to stop at the stop sign traffic traveling north and south on Old US-45.
Forty-two year old Kelly Derrington of Paducah was north bound on Old US-45 and unable to avoid contact with Jenkin’s vehicle as he proceeded through the stop sign.
Both drivers received non-incapacitating injuries and sought treatment at area hospitals.
