Mayfield man arrested after sex crime indictment

A Mayfield man was arrested on Wednesday following a Graves County Grand Jury indictment for alleged sex crimes.

Kentucky State Police opened an investigation in August after multiple individuals accused 53-year-old Paul West of Mayfield of sexually abusing them. The abuse allegedly occurred when the complainants were children. Investigators testified to their findings before a Graves County Grand Jury on Tuesday. West was indicted on felony charges of unlawful transaction with a minor, and sexual abuse, plus misdemeanor voyeurism charges. 

West was arrested at his home on Wednesday. He posted bond a short time later. 

KSP said that the investigation is continuing.
