Massac man jailed on disorderly conduct charge

A call from a frightened woman at Massac Memorial Hospital ended in charges for a Metropolis man.

Authorities said the woman was parked at the hospital, when she was approached by a man accusing her of watching his house.

The victim was able to point out the house the suspect went into, and police reportedly knew the owner had aggressively accused many others of watching his house.

The man, identified as 60-year-old Johnny Cash, allegedly showed signs of intoxication and was arrested on a disorderly conduct charge.

He was taken to the Massac County jail.
